Hi there! Today’s post is a bit unusual because it is NOT crafty related, so if this is not your thing, my feelings won’t be hurt if you pass over reading this post, but I do hope you’ll give it a chance because I tried them and it worked for me and I just felt compelled to share my story in case you struggle.

I have headaches, a lot! Painful, nauseating, head pounding headaches/migraines. Lots of blood work and tests run and it’s just one of those things they say…. I have medication that I take, but I was so sick of taking pills all the time. Every single pill you take in some way or another has a side effect. It’s so aggravating. I have known about essential oils for a long time, but I was very skeptical in trying them for a few reasons. The first being THE PRICE! They aren’t cheap and if is something that doesn’t work, than there goes that money down the toilet. And two. Oils? Really? Whatever. Oils aren’t going to make my headaches go away or relax me.. Please… Sounds so granola. But at a low point, after a sleepless night of a head pounding headache, I caved and bought a starter kit. If you know me, I’m CHEAP! So you know I must have been feeling real lousy, lol!!!   I didn’t HAVE to buy a whole kit. I could have just bought an oil and a diffuser separately but after doing the math, I decided I might has well get the kit because buying separately was almost just as much and this way, I get a bunch of different oils to try.

Conclusion – WOW! Just wow…….. Applying peppermint to my forehead and temples worked. It really worked! When I felt a headache coming on, I’d apply some peppermint (and sometimes I’ll switch off to lavender) and about 5 minutes later, my headache was gone…..

Lavender.. Lavender…. Smells good. I read it relaxes. Hmm… I wonder if it will help my daughter sleep longer at night. Sure enough, she slept 13 hours the first night I diffused lavender…. And every night since she has slept anywhere from 12-13 hours a night!! When my son is moody or restless? Guess what! There’s an oil for that!! He jokes and says there is an oil for everything! Now if only they would make an oil that makes your kids obey! That would be awesome!

Last week my son woke up all congested and had a fever… I diffused Thieves (comes in the kit) all day and night and applied some direct to his feet several times during the day. The next day he woke up and felt so much better! Lily caught the bug so I diffused Thieves and Purification (another oil that comes in the kit that kills all airborne germs and just smells good) during the day and night. Since she is so little, I didn’t feel comfortable applying oils (even diluted) on her directly , but she started to feel better after a few days and I firmly believe it was because of the EO I diffused. Colds in this household usually last a minimum of a week..

I love this company, They are 100% PURE OILS! Don’t do what I initially did and get on Amazon and try to buy your oils there, lol! 100% is KEY!  Here is a lookie into what all the oils that I use do (and these all come in one of the kits along with the diffuser)!

PS. Purification is awesome too. Stinky dog smell? Use it. Husband/kids got stinky shoes? Add a drop to a cotton ball and place in their shoe and voila, the smell is gone…. Dog poop in the house? Diffuse this into the air! Poopy smell gone… Add a drop to your baby’s diaper pale…..
