Envelope Liners and Snowflakes: Catherine Pooler Winter Release Blog Hop

By Laurel on December 14, 2018December 14, 2018

Oh envelope liner die!  Where have you been all my life? I am not one for dressing up my envelopes with stamps and stickers.. They are usually just a fun color and that’s that… But this envelope liner die is so easy to use! For me, I just used it with a bunch of fun patterned papers at once so now I have a ton of liners ready to go!!!! This is also a fantastic way to use up that patterned paper you might have hoarded, I mean collected. This first one, it just screams Kate Spade doesn’t it….

Stamp your own pattern onto some cardstock (I used the cake from the Birthday Icons stamp set)!

Next up, I used the GORGEOUS stamps from the Peaceful Flakes stamp set! This stamp is stunning. These snowflakes……. I used Grape Crush and Juniper Mist inks on both cards!

The first one… I did some stamping with water, which is a go to favorite technique of mine! I inked up a white watercolored cardstock piece cut to size with Grape Crush and Juniper Mist! I did a heavy blend of these two inks! That is key if you want to stamp with water!

I spritzed the snowflake images with water and then stamped them right onto the cardstock. STUNNING EEH? For some added depth, I light stamped over the water stamped image with Juniper mist…. And the sentiment? It’s from an oldie….  The For Everything stamp set. Stamped right onto the fabulous CP Vellum.

The next card features a lighter blend of the same two ink colors and I did lots of water mists on the top to soften up the background. I stamped the snowflakes with Juniper Mist ink and adhered a sentiment from the same stamp set I used in the other card!

I love how the CP Inks react with water! It’s so pretty.

Love the liner. And what do you mean HOARD paper. Just because I’m considering a forklift as my next vehicle is no reason to toss around that kind of language. But seriously, why does the paper you want have to be near the bottom of a 5 ft stack?
