I stumbled across this blog today and can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I did. Her creations are fabulous and her current contest (cupcake challenge #75) had me whip out one of my stamp sets that I just adore. The challenge was to create something using this sketch.
I started out using a piece of Kraft card stock, dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.
I used my Papertrey Ink Cupcake Collection Stamp set, embossed the sprinkles using PTI vintage cream and clear embossing powder, created the striped paper using PTI Background Basics: Retro, and raised the cupcakes using pop dots.
I can NOT tie a decent ribbon to save my life so I thought I what I did with the ribbon was a happy medium and saved me the stress and disappointment in myself yet again for not being able to tie a stinkin ribbon! I guess I should pat myself on the back that I can tie my shoes!
Supplies:
Papertrey Ink Stamp Sets: Cupcake Collection, Background Basics: Retro
Papertrey Inks: Dark Chocolate (sentiment on ribbon), Burnt Sienna, Seascape, Vintage Cream, Belle Rose
Other: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Embosser, Clear embossing powder, pop dots
Very cute! I love how you put the ribbon through the card and stamped the sentiment on it! Very creative!

This card is great Laurel! I love what you did with the ribbon.
Oooh, kraft! Love how you embossed the kraft and stamped on the ribbon.
