Do you succ? I’ve got a great video to share with you today using the brand new Mondo Succulents stamp set and some other new goodies from the latest Ellen Hutson Release! I am part of a super fun blog hop complete with prizes! You should have arrived from Kelly’s blog!
I have a video that walks you thru the entire shebang from beginning to end creating two very different cards using the same stamp set. Welcome to the world Mondo Succulent Stamp Set……
Now let’s take a close up look at the cards. The first one stamp the succulent as it is intended. I love it because it looks like I masked areas of the stamp to create this succulent in a pot, but nope! It’s one stamp.
To jazz up the card further, I took the brand new Essential Squares die (NO CUTTING A PART THE DIES REQUIRED – YES YES YES), laid the right onto my watercolored piece and cut… The center square I popped up with some foam dimension. Cool, eeh????
The second card features the exact same stamp, just carefully colored with watercolor markers in small areas to create a totally different look. I didn’t want to take the time to paper mask (because I’m lazy) so doing it this way was perfect. Check out the video to find out how you can do this too!
And the sentiment? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! The Succulent Sentiments stamp set has so many funny sentiments it was hard to choose!

I love the square die set. Looks like that succulent is on a nice square dish! Wonderful stamp and coloring.
Beautiful! I’m obsessed with succulents!
You succ wonderfully!
Beautiful cards Laurel! I really like your choice of colors in the first one. I like the way you took the Essentials Square Dies and placed them directly on the watercolor. The results are stunning! And the best part was not having to cut apart the dies! You’ve inspired me to give that a try!
Laurel, your videos are so appreciated by me! I love the look of this mondo succulent as you are right, it does look like you had to mask. What a treat to find out you don’t have to. I like the Essentials Square dies you used on the first card, especially popping it up in the centre. I also really like the look of the second card as it’s a bit loose & has lovely colours. Thanks!
I LOVE your cards, they are beautiful!! I also love succulents!! I love the watercolor markers, I may have to try those…they look like so much FUN!! It inspires me!! Thanks so much for your video!!
Laurel – love your cards – they are all so pretty, & you really show the versatility of the stamp. I think I’m like you – I sort of ‘wing it’ when I craft. However, I am quite a slow crafter, so sometimes I lose interest before the project is completed! Maybe once I get started, I ‘fret’ too much…HA This is a fantastic release from Ellen Hutson!
Fantastic cards! Love how you used the succulents…
Thanks so much for sharing.
Sooo pretty!
Very nice cards. Thanks for sharing the video.
