DIY Ink Pad

By Laurel on April 16, 2015

Hi there everyone!!! It’s almost the weekend! We are so close!!!! Today I have a product to share with you today.. I saw this ink pad over on a post Julie did for the CLASSroom and immediately went and bought 3 of them to play with. You can see her post and video HERE!

Today I thought I would share with you a quick video giving you my thoughts on these pads and how to whip up one for yourself using Distress Ink refills… NOTE: Dye refills are best to use with these pads as the pads are felt based and pigment inks are generally too thick. All the supplies I used can be found at the end of this post linked to a few sources.

For the colorful ink pad I used the following refill colors all linked below: Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves/

And for the ombre pad I used the following distress ink refills:  Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio.

I have a couple of these pads and keep forgetting to ink them up! I also got one of the regular uninked pads to ink up and keep forgetting that one too! LOL I am going to make my own custom color for the individual one. Thanks for the reminder to get them out and ink them up!

These stamp pads are such a great idea for achieving that ombre look. Must admit I prefer the unspattered cards – clean ind simple for me! 🙂
