Hi there! I am guesting with So Suzy Stamps this month! To see my first guest post, click HERE! Today I have two cards to share with you that showcases two of my all times loves! Christmas and Coffee! How adorable is this Coffee Christmas Tree? When I saw it, it HAD to be mine. I stalked the mailbox waiting for this one! I have a video to go along with this card as well! (DISCLAIMER: A few seconds of this video is out of focus! ACK! I apologize I did not catch that while filming). You can watch the video right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking HERE!
To create this card, I stamped the Coffee Christmas tree with two brown pigment inks: Vintage Sepia and Toffee. Because they are pigment inks, they stay wet longer so I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat set it. This really made the Coffee Christmas tree pop!
To create the background design on both cards, I blended some ink thru the Coffee Splotch stencil.
I blended some distress inks onto both cards: Wild Honey and Ground Espresso (any coffee card needs this ink simply because of the name, lol). You can see how you can get two different looks depending on how much ink you put down. The first card, I was heavy handed with the ink. The second card, I was light handed and didn’t apply any ink to the center of the panel with the tree so it left a white glow around the coffee tree! 🙂 here is a close up of the Christmas Coffee tree.
Thanks for stopping by today!
