Distress Mania Part 2: Water Flicking

By Laurel on October 12, 2011

Welcome to Day 2 of my little series I am doing here on the blog! Each card this week will feature some kind of distress ink technique… This one actually features a water flicking technique. Supply list is at the end of this post!

I applied three shades of blue distress inks to the base, then squirted some perfect pearls mist on my craft sheet, grabbed up a bunch with my paint brush and flicked away! As a finishing touch, I sprayed some additional perfect pearls over the entire piece. It really shines! Reminds me of a starry night! The Hero Arts Silly Scape was colored with distress inks. The banner/sentiment was stamped on vellum. Now look very carefully at the background, because I did stamp Market Street Stamp’s Bit of Burlap for a little added affect… It looks quite stunning in person.

The idea of turning this card into a Christmas scene came from this post by Virginia Lu! I heart her….  She is brilliant…

I hope you like it!!!! 🙂 If during any time, you see a card you would like to see a video on, please leave me a comment! Taking video requests… 🙂
