Distress Inked Christmas Card

It’s Christmas on my blog today. I haven’t made too many Christmas cards and in all honestly, only a few people get the handmade cards – while the rest gets a photo card.  Thanks to the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights challenge Inspirational photo, (attached at the end of the post) I got all Christmasy.  I was inspired by the color and theme of the photos.

I watercolored the background with distress inks and well as the tree and lights. I added some subtle hits of shine here and there with Nuvo drops. (all supplies linked below). I enjoyed making this card while watching You’ve Got Mail in the background (which isn’t a Christmas movie – I just like it).

So what are you waiting for? Head over the Pin-SIghts Challenge and play along. A randomly selected participant will win $50!
