Watercolored peonies. I love peonies. I love watercoloring. So why not combine the two??? That’s exactly what I did for the card I made for the current Pin-Sights Challenge. I paired the Mondo Peonies stamp set with Waffle Flowers Year Round Words die set.
I started by stamping one of the images from the Mondo Peony stamp set onto some Bristol paper and watercolored them with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Anytime I use the Zigs, I always use the Bristol paper! I remember first getting the Zigs and I didn’t like them! It turned out to be NOT the markers, but the paper I was using! As soon as I switched over to the Bristol paper, I fell in love! They blend effortlessly.
The coordinating Mondo Peony die made pulling together this card a breeze! I adhered all the pretty florals flat to the card base cutting off any excess hanging off the edge. The Year Round word dies from Waffle Flower is fantastic! So many different sentiments on one die set!!! I backed the panel with some black card stock really make the words pop!
I smooshed my Versamark ink pad over the die cut panel and sprinkled on some sparkle embossing powder and love the results. Sparkle and shine that doesn’t come off all over your hands, lol!
I hope you’ll play along with the Pin-Sights Challenge! A randomly selected participant will win a $50 shopping spree to the Ellen Hutson store!

WOW! GORGEOUS card!
Beautiful card and watercoloring Laurel and I love the gorgeous colours you used!
GORGEOUS and so sparkly! LOVE the WF words paired with the Peonies. Peonies are a FAVE of mine as well. Love all the colors and the embossing really highlights the fanciful feathery petals.
I was lucky enough in our last house (boo not this one) but in the drive, there were planted many Peonies and when they popped up, wow! They were dark cherry burgundy.
Have a great day Laurel!
