There are many watercolor lessons in the Creative Watercolor Media class! They also show you different mediums to use for watercoloring and that’s what I did today. I used the Altenew Metallic Shimmer Spray on Vellum to create this card. I started by inking up Circled Sentiments stamp set with embossing ink and stamped it onto some very strong vellum! Then I sprinkled on black super fine embossing powder and heat set. Because this vellum is so strong, I didn’t worry about warping at all.
I sprayed the BACK SIDE of the vellum with Lavender Fields Metallic Shimmer Spray. Once dry, I adhered it to a white card panel trimmed to the same size. The reason I adhered the vellum to a white card panel is because there are some areas that didn’t get as much spray so any color you lay the vellum on to will take on that color. I wanted white! I adhered everything down to a black card base. The way the shimmer spray is translucent thru that vellum is really quite unique.
TATA for now! 🙂
Very cool design!
