Cozy and Warm

I love Christmas! I like when it turns cold… I like decorating my Christmas tree, listening to Christmas music, walking around the house in my comfortable slippers and sipping on hot coffee in the mornings… I REALLY got into the Christmas mood when my Lawn Fawn set arrived.

Cozy Christmas is absolutely adorable… I saw a card on the Hero Arts Blog by Barb. She used various Tim Holtz Distress Inks on her background image and I loved the look so I tried it here using my Hero Arts Cling Stripes Stamp. I colored all the images with Copics (I am trying to get better so I need the practice) and adhered them, some with pop dots and some without…  I added Glossy Accents to the fire and hand drew the note on the fireplace mantle using the Santa note image as my pattern. The milk glass has white liquid along the top. I haven’t used that since last Christmas… I totally forgot I had it! Both layers have Tim Holtz distress ink.

I was inspired by 3 challenges for this card. Color Cue, 365 Cards and 2s4Y (yes, again)!! The 365 Cards challenge was all about smell. Take something I love to smell and make a project. I LOVE the smell of a fresh fire! I love the smell of matches. And I love the smell of cookies baking in the oven. Cozy Christmas was just perfect for me to use for this card. It had everything I needed….

I am so glad I follow so many wonderful sites on my google reader! I get ALL of my inspiration from them…
