Copic Distress Colored Mermaid Card

Hello there! WAVING HELLO from Florida and good golly it is hot here.  94 degrees!  So I knew I wanted to make an underwater scene card, because surely under the sea isn’t as hot as 94 degrees! This week’s Lawnscaping Challenge theme is Distress Maniacs!  I created the water by blending two colors of distress inks together! This is how I envision water to look like. The beautiful see thru blue/green color like I saw in Hawaii. Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass to the rescue!!!! 🙂 After I blending the colors together, I flicked on some water droplets and then stamped some of the plant life in the same colors of distress ink.

The images were stamped and die cut with the Mermaid For You stamp set and coordinating dies and colored with Copic Markers.  And lastly, I added some Spectrum Noir Glitter pen in Clear and some Glossy Accents on the mermaid tales and added a few sequins from The Ton to finish off the card. The only thing I wish I hadn’t done? Go crazy with the black fish, lol. Oye…. But, I added a clear overlay of glitter with the Spectrum Noir Glitter pen so it made them cuter. You can’t deny glittery fish.

I hope that you will play along with us! The amazing Lawn Fawn is sponsoring this challenge!

Have an awesome day!
