Cats or dogs or both??? I am a dog lover so this adorable stamp set and die set from the latest Ellen Hutson release was perfect! If you are cat lover, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered (Cat Lady stamps and dies). I decided to make a shaker so I stamped the images and watercolored them using Gansai watercolors (Can be bought as a set or individually – exact colors used linked below for you). I especially like the coordinating dies as they cut around the arm so your lady can hold a cute pup or cat! I wanted my lady to have some shades so I drew in some sunglasses and used some Glossy Accents on the top to really make them life like.
I added some finishing touches by giving one of the dogs some spots using White Nuvo Crystal Drops and accentuated all the eyes with Black Nuvo Crystal drops. (Warning: If you make your drops to big, they will crack). I filled my shaker with various beads from The Ton and voila! My shaker card is all done and I only got a few beads up my nose, lol. (sequins, beads, glitter and I don’t get along, lol).

Laurel you are so funny! I am not a lover of making shaker cards because I find that the fillings either fall out of the back or the stick to the acetate and do not move! But back to your project Laurel, I love what you did with the dog lady, how great that the die cuts the arms so that she can hold one of the pooches. I see from the resource list the cat lady too. I am not a cat lover but I know one or two friends who are. What I was interested to see was that a crafter can purchase a single Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour rather than the whole set. Are there containers to purchase too that you can put these in? I would love these watercolours but buying them separately might be easier on the purse. I will have to check and see if these are sold singularly in the UK too. :O)
