The Ellen Hutson Design Team has joined together to celebrate the arrival of Catherine Pooler products! We are celebrating blog hop style! You should have hopped over to me by way of the amazing Ardyth! Today’s project was a labor of love and I’ve framed this baby!!!! I LOVE how it turned out. I used the GORGEOUS Stained Glass Coverplate (hurry, there aren’t many left) and lots of Catherine Pooler Inks to create this card (which I now turned into framed art, lol).
I layered SEVERAL of the stained glass cover piece panels together to create some gorgeous dimension and added some shimmer spray to the piece so it really would stand out. Once dry, I adhered it down to a white card base.
Now came the tedious but well worth while part of the design. I colored each of the bits and pieces (exact colors linked below in the supply list) from the die one by one and adhered them back into the design, like fitting them into a puzzle. It took some time, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out. My own mom (in addition to Catherine Pooler) asked for this card and I said NOPE! It is standing proudly in my room, lol! To finish off the card, I adhered the create die cut right over the top!
Sidenote: I used the Gemini JR to die cut this panel. Holy crud! I am so impressed with this machine. It die cut the panel with one passing, no shims and all the pieces popped out without me having to use a poky tool! This machine is an A+++ in my book. Pricey? yes… Worth it? Yes.
Next on the hop is the sparkly Carissa Wiley!
Ahhhh… the famous stained glass coverplate card!!!! Love it!
OMG Laurel, this card is absolutely stunning!!
The card is even more beautiful with these close-up photos then it looked when it was seen on the video with you and Catherine! You two had me in stitches with your lovely craziness in the video. Thanks, I needed that!!

Laurel, this card is amazing, I can see why they both wanted it. This coverplate is definitely a must have. Beautiful design.
Love the colors you chose!
Laurel I love what you have done with the stained glass die. Cutting more than one and adhering them together does give it dimension but then to colour each individual piece and place it like a jigsaw back into each area shows your patience and determination to make this project amazing. And amazing you did make it, no wonder your Mum asked for it and you turned her down. I would have done too. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful project with us crafters Laurel. :O)
