Color Splash Card using @Lawnfawn and Faber Castell

By Laurel on July 25, 2011

I had some time today so decided to play along in two challenges that inspired me….. The Play Date Cafe Color Splash Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which was to use newspaper (I used a text background stamp)…

I started by heat embossing the text (Hero Arts Friends Definition) and applying two shades of Tim Holtz ink over the top.  I then colored in with lanterns with the Faber-Castell big brush pens (113, 118, 219) and adhered them and then went crazy with my edge distresser! I stamped the sentiment on the inside (which I forgot to photograph).. I had fun making this card! I hope you like it.

All of the items used on this card can be purchased from the fab SIMON SAYS STAMP!

Supplies:

Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Lunar Lights), Hero Arts (Friends Definition)
Other: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Tea Dye, Vintage Photo), Tim Holtz edge distresser, embossing powder (clear and white), twine, Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens

Cute…the orange really pops. I like the bit of distressing on the edges of your background paper!
