A friend came over yesterday and we whipped up a couple of cards. I like clean and simple cards for the most part! I don’t like to add a lot of things to one card, just not my style…..
I wanted to show her embossing with colored powder so I grabbed a little $1 owl stamp I picked up from Michael’s (isn’t it just the cutest) and Papertrey Ink’s Background Retro stamp set and came up with this little card…. Might go back and use my scor bug along the top of the card, who knows……
Please keep in mind that I am a newbie with no sewing skills WHATSOEVER!
Lucky if I can sew a button! HA! I basically get inspiration from my cards by looking at other people’s creations and tweaking them to fit my style. It is called something. CASE? I don’t know…. Anyone?
Ink: PTI Jardin Moss
Paper: Kraft
Other: Embossing powder, Owl Stamp, flowers – All from Michael’s, Oval scalloped punch
Then I made this cute little baby card.
Stamps: Papertrey Ink Green Thumb stamp set, Background: Retro
Inks: Jardin Moss, Burnt Sienna – All Papertrey Ink
Paper: Kraft, yellow textured paper from Hobby Lobby
Other: Flowers, corner rounder, oval scalloped punch
OOoh thse are cute! Love the look of the stamping on kraft! That owl stamp is adorable! I’m gonna have to go check out the $1 bin!
Great cards. I love using kraft card stock and making clean and simple cards also. The little owl is soo cute. I have not seen the $1 bin at Michael’s. I try to go there with one thing in mind. When I start wandering around and looking at stuff I end up spending too much. But a dollar bin, now that is were I should be looking.
I really like your cards! The kraft is great for a clean simple look. I love it!
