Die Cutting Ellen Hutson Heat Embossing Techniques

Christmas Stocking Ornament

Good morning! Today I have a fun Christmas tag that doubles as a Christmas Tree ornament!!! All the details (and step out photos) can be found on the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom post, so I hope you’ll hop on over there and check it out, along with another amazing tag by another guest artist!

I made this with the intent on it being a fun tag, but then I realized – Heck! This is a cute ornament!!! So up on my tree it went!! The longest part of the project was the hand stitching. This amazing stocking die comes with the stitched lines cut out (awesome) so while I was watching tv, I grabbed some floss stuff I had at the house and a needle (which I am surprised I had because I don’t sew, like ever) and stitched around all of the pieces of the die. Then I adhered all the pieces together to form the stocking. I heat embossed the Jingle All The Way sentiment from this stamp set and added a few jingle bells! There are two stocking dies glued together so I could put something inside it if I wanted. A gift card. Some peppermints…

For complete step out photos, please head on over this CLASSroom blog post!
