Today’s card features lots and lots of goodies from my latest Simon Says Stamp haul. Stamps, shimmer spritz (both gold and silver), bow dies… The works. The supply list is at the very end of this post. I also used the Christmas Limited Edition Distress Inks. GORGEOUS COLORS!!!!!!! But you want to know what I used that was right out of my pantry? Aluminum foil! Yup! The bows are made of aluminum foil! I made a product review video showcasing the Memory Box Crisp Bows die using my Cuttlebug and yes, aluminum foil. (I am in love with the dies by the way and highly recommend them). Scroll down to see the video.
To make the background, I heavily inked the card stock with distress inks, sprayed Hero Arts Magical background with water and stamped! I then used both the silver and gold shimmer spritz (gold more than silver) on the ink distressed background of this card! Yes, I fell in love with yet another prouduct, the shimmer spritz. I made a video showing the difference between Perfect Pearls and the Silver Shimmer Mist, but I’ll save that for tomorrow so I won’t overload you with information! I am submitting this project to the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.
Here is my product review video. You can view it here or over on my youtube channel in HD!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!!!
foil??? That totally ROCKS! What a great idea for the ornament “string”. Awesome card!
Beautiful! I was wondering how you got the string so delicately cut!
I used foil on my Inspiration Showcase Canvas, I cut & embossed a heart shape. Foil embosses in embossing folders good too. I did multiple layers so that it was stiffer but the cutting and embossing made the layers stick together without any adhesive. It was very cool! You should try embossing the foil too. Great Card, I really need to bust out the seasonal distress inks!
Hi Chari! I’ve used the snowflake embossing folder with tin foil before! Worked like a charm!! 🙂 Thanks for the reminder!!!!
Love love this card and the die for the string is superb!!!TFS
I love that you thought to use aluminum foil! That is so smart and it worked, and looks amazing! So cool!
Yay for the holiday distress inks too!
Your card just shouts Christmas cheer! 🙂
I love the background stamped w/ that shimmer spritz! And foil?? So creative and fun! I MUST try that shimmer spritz!
Wow! What a fabulous card – love the idea of using foil for your diecut elements. The cute bows work great for the ornament hangings. *Need* to try this, Rx
