Video: Catherine Pooler Zen Garden Blog Hop Day 4 with Giveaways: Partial Die Cutting

By Laurel on February 16, 2018February 16, 2018

It’s our final day of blog hops celebrating the latest Catherine Pooler collection, Zen Garden Release!    All week we have been showcasing our new Zen Garden Ink Pads along with the stamps, dies, stencil and brand new cover plate. I’ve got another video to share with you today. Actually, I have two. But instead of posting two on the same day, I will post one today and the other one tomorrow!!! Have you seen the Stained Glass Coverplate? Oh my!!!! It was designed by Julie Mogford, who is absolutely brilliant (side note: she also designed my blog and logo). I learned a technique by Lydia Evans and thought it would be perfect to use with this die cut! I have SO MANY cards created using just this Stained Glass Coverplate to share! Just wait and see…. It’s amazing.

Let’s take a look at the video so you can see how I made this.  You can head over to my youtube channel and watch it in HD by clicking HERE. And if you aren’t a subscriber, I’d love it if you would subscribe by clicking HERE. The exact supplies used are linked below! And I am over the moon excited that Ellen Hutson is now carrying the Catherine Pooler line!!! A match made in heaven I tell you.

Thanks to Lydia and her spiffy technique, it took me under 5 minutes to make this card!

And I couldn’t resist another rainbow background….

I also wanted to share a card using the new Faithful Flutterings stamp set. I have a card/video using this set (and also showing how to heat emboss with WATER) but I am going to wait and share that tomorrow so you don’t get stuck with two videos in one day!  I did some unusual ink layers but I love how it turned out! The big butterfly has a white overlay over the top. The stamp set has 3 layers per butterfly! I’ll show you are more in depth look at the set tomorrow.

I also added some score lines to the background for some added texture.

Can you guess which ink color combinations I used?

Prize:

What’s a hop without prizes?  For each day of our four days of blog hops, we’ll be randomly picking two people to win their very own Zen Garden Ink Pads.  (If you already have them, not to worry! A $45 Gift Card will be issued).

And I also appreciate how you went with non-traditional color pairings for the butterflies. That’s a totally different look than I’ve seen in the other ones, and I like it. My favorite color is All that Jazz and Melon ice. I use them on almost every card. Love Lydia’s technique. I’m always looking to get more out of my supplies. Gorgeous designs.

    Laurel,
You are light the energizer bunny with this blog hop. You just keep going. Beautiful creations!
My favorite color is yellow because it seems like a happy color.
