Metallic Watercolored Amaryllis

Who doesn’t love metallic watercolored Amaryllises?  And best thing is, you need very few supplies to recreate this beauty! You don’t even need watercolored cardstock.  I stamped the flowers from Mondo Amaryllis several times with Embossing ink onto regular black cardstock and heat embossed using Wow’s Ultra Fine white embossing powder. Then I watercolored them with Altenew’s Metallic watercolors…. It’s so shiny and so pretty! Once that was all dry, I die cut them with the coordinating die and layered them onto a card base.  The sentiment is from the Totally Random Sayings 1 stamp set. I love the bold, thick font. I heat embossed with the same ink and embossing powder as the flowers. The sentiment is popped up with some X-Press foam tape (on sale I might add).

What do you think about the metallic watercolors on black cardstock? I like that some of the black still shows thru….

Paint a Map with Watercolor: Map of Mediterranean Cruise

After I returned from my Mediterranean Cruise, I wanted to make something as a keepsake. When I opened my email, a class from Skillshare was being promoted and alas, it was like it was made for me. A keepsake? A Map? Watercolor? Hello! Let’s do this.  In the video, I share the process of how I created this map, along with footage from the class I took to guide me along the way. I share hilarious (not at the time) stories from my trip. If you don’t know, I traveled with my parents and brother/family… Let’s highlight a few key memories: missing flight to Rome, getting lost in Florence, finding Italian Police, rerouted planes, barf bags, cruise ship almost leaving us………

What’s funny now was NOT funny then. Please join me and take a stroll down memory lane all while watching me create this map.

In The Weeds + Giveway

In the Weeds

Do you ever feel in the weeds? If you do, you need this stamp set and die from the latest Ellen Hutson Release. The beautiful floral cluster is a gem! The coordinating die cut is also amazing because it delicately cuts out the die and leaves gaps between some of the leaves so some color can peek thru from your base layer!

It’s equally as gorgeous without using the die…. Super fun to watercolor.
