There are two glues I love. TWO! And the only ones I will ever need! What’s your favorite?
I have had a lot of viewer requests for this one! Nuvo Shimmer Powders! I love them! They are everything to me and replaced all other “color burst” type products I had previously. Nuvo Shimmer Powders are a mixture of shimmering mica powder and a vibrant dry pigment. You can do so many things with these guys and they come in lots of different colors. Each bottle will burst with various colors. It’s actually quite amazing to see the results you get. I even have some slow motion action in my videos so you can see how they work.
I have 8 different ways you can use the Nuvo Shimmer Powders in my video below. Take a look!
Here is a close up look at the all the cards I created in the video using various techniques with the powders!!!!!!!!!
So what do you think? Will you give the Nuvo Powders a try? Do you have a favorite technique? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for stopping in today!!! See you tomorrow with a fun blog hop!
I was blown away by this platform I had never heard of. This class in particular was life changing for me because I take all my photographs (and even my filming) with my Iphone. For FREE ACCESS FOR TWO MONTHS: https://skl.sh/laurelbeard
Today, I have a video showing you how easy it is to add various textures to your card backgrounds with just one tool!!!! There are a few bloopers in the video that you will definitely want to see! Let’s check out the video!
HAHA, what did you think of my bloopers????? One of my viewers suggested the one card looks like Max took a chunk out of the cake! I love that! Let’s roll with that idea… Totally intentional……. HAHA. But seriously, that mica mist on that black cardstock? Holy crud. ALL the supplies are linked at the bottom of this post!
Another way to use the scoring board is to strategically place your score lines so you can use those tiny stamps that come in your stamp sets that you don’t really know what to do with… Just sayin’.
Scoring around a image really draws the eye to that image… Especially works wonders with clean and simple cards. And seriously, how adorable is this hedgehog?!?
Adding ink over scored lines really packs a punch! Adds dimension and texture and really makes for a fun background!!!
What if you don’t own a scoring board?
Have no fear! If you have a paper trimmer, you can use the indented area of the score board (where the blade would cut thru the paper) and use that and your stylus. OR, you can use a straight edge ruler and your stylus tool.. The scoring board is certainly easier, but those other options will work too with more effort.
Which card is your favorite? Do you own a score board? Let me know in the comments!
When I saw the Nuvo Dream Drops at Creativation this year, I was so intrigued before I even played with them. I loved the beautiful colors in the larger bottles! I knew there was something different about them. They seemed thicker and more pearlescent. Once I played with them while I was doing a demo at the Tonic booth, I almost stuffed them down my shirt and snuck away! They really are amazing! The are iridescent and basically like magic in a bottle. When you tip your card in the light, the color becomes completely different. It is amazing on daed cardstock! Take a look at this video I made!
My absolute favorite card is the one right below! The technique of using all the colors with the blending sponge??? Just look at this gorgeous card! It sparkles, all the different colors show and when you tip it in the light, even more colors appear! These Dream Drops are so cool! I found them on sale for you! Click HERE for 10% off!
You can make your own enamel dots like shown above (and in the video). What do you think? Do you love them like I do? Are you going to try them out????
