Hello everyone! My blog has been fairly quiet lately because I have had a lot going on in my life personally lately! I know that worrying is a sin and that is accomplishes absolutely NOTHING, but yet I worry! It is really quite stupid when I think about it… But yet, I do it.. Sigh!!! Now, I have A LOT of thoughtful crafty peeps in my life. Those that just drop me a line letting me know they are thinking of me, a text, a smile… It all means so much to me. It really is like ray of sunshine beaming in thru a dark cloud. So to all of you, you know who you are, thank you so much!
Most recently, another thoughtful gesture arrived in my mailbox! This one in particular is from my sweet friend Britta! I am in awe that someone can be so thoughtful to someone she has never met in person. She sent me a few crafty goodies just to brighten my day…. So I had to make her a card thanking her with some of the goodies she sent me. Now Britta, you are going to see it here, but be real surprised when it arrives to your home, ok?!? 🙂
The cute little image is from The Greeting Farm (Anya Fleur) and the patterned paper is from My Minds Eye (Life of the Party Lime Twist). The rest of her is colored with Copics. I chose to color her hair brown because ICopic’s challenge this week is all about brown hair! The inside has a thank you sentiment stamped on the inside but I forgot to photograph it… All of these can be purchased at SimonSaysStamp! I kept the design very clean and simple, which is Lawnscaping’s current challenge!
Love it, love it, love it! I am praying for you.
She is so cute, I know Britta will love it! I may not know what you are going through but you are in my thoughts and prayers anyway 🙂 Thanks for being one of my crafty peeps!
What a lovely card you’ve made! Britta will be amazed, for sure 🙂 I wish everything goes fine. Hugs from Spain
What a cute summer girl! TFS =)
Oh, this is so cute, Laurel! I love the paper piecing. Hope things get better soon!
Adorable card – I’m sure Brit will love it 😉
Hope life is settling down to a slightly less hectic pace and those burdens on your shoulders are softening up. I’m no-one to speak about not worrying – worry is my middle name – but it’s so true… It doesn’t help. It’s part of my mantra to take a step back when life gets like that and spend some time thinking about the real priorites of our lives. What really deserves our focus and attention. The here and now. Not the ‘what might be’ and ‘what if I don’t do that’…. I’m sure you know what I mean. It’s probably like trying to teach granny to suck eggs though, as the saying goes!
Take care of yourself, from a friend in England. Hugs, Ruth S
She turned out so beautifully. You totally rocked the iCopic challenge this week!
