Card Organizer/Altered clipboard

By Laurel on May 1, 2009

I am absolutely LOVING Papertrey Ink…. I was introduced to this a few weeks ago and got my order last week. I have the basics. A few stamps, paper, card stock, punches, etc….  It is funny, because I have an order sitting in my cart for 3 more stamp sets, but I am going to wait for Mother’s Day because I am hoping to get a gift certificate.  At any rate, I have been looking for easy projects to do. I am a virgin to this craft, so I have to start off easy….  I will probably be making a lot of cards with the stamps and cardstock and decorative paper I have….. I searched high and low for a cards box template to hold all my cards in (I have only made two so far…) I found templates but they required cutting and taping and scoring (whatever that is..)… I was over it… I didn’t want to buy anything else (you are welcome Christian), so I used what I had. Lucas’s stride rite shoe box.. And I made some tabs with my card stock, puncher and stamps…. This is what I came up with so far…

I also made something in celebration of Lucas’s SECOND trip to Disney this year. This time, he got to go with his cousin Emma. They played wonderfully together. It was Emma’s 4th birthday. For those of you that don’t know, you can get into Disney for free on your birthday. So my mom wanted to take Emma as her present and Lucas and I tagged along… We had free passes into the park…. I asked Lucas at the end of the day what his favorite party of the day was and he responded, “my cousin Emma”…. So sweet. My heart melted…. His second favorite thing was Mickey and Minnie of course….. Below is the mini clipboard I altered into a picture frame in celebration of our Disney trip and some pictures from the day……
