On the 17th of each month, CAS-ual Fridays hosts a Calling all Sistahs blog hop to remind all you women out there to do your monthly breast exams. The owner of CAS-ual Fridays is a breast cancer survivor thanks to catching it early during one of her monthly self checks. 50% of the proceeds from the Breast Cancer Awareness category gets donated to breast cancer research and awareness programs. I am using the Word Ribbon stamp set in my project.
I am extremely lucky. No one in my family or circle of friends have fallen to the fate of breast cancer, but that doesn’t mean I am terrified that one day it will.
I just started my monthly checks and last year I started annual mammograms.
Don’t put this off! I know it’s scary! Believe me. I am a huge hypochondriac. But in my mind, I’d rather do the checks and feel relief when there is nothing then not do the tests because I’m afraid there might be something.
Thanks for stopping by today!!!!!
Wonderful–love the striped background.
Love your painted stripes, Laurel and the way the ribbon pops in black! Thanks for reminding your sistahs that it is better to find out there is nothing than wait to long to find the something.
Your painted stripes are so pretty as the background for the Word Ribbon! Thanks for the reminder!
Lovely card!
What a beautiful artsy card Laurel and I love the colours you chose!
