Button SnowMan – Mix It Up Challenge

It’s time for another Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge and today I thought I’d share with you a cute little button snowman.

We are mixing it up with 28 Lilac Lane! When I saw the winter mix, I immediately thought of a snowman! So what better to pair the buttons with than with the Fat Pants stamp set and coordinating dies. My little snowman was then born! 🙂

I cut out a circle and embossed with the Stitches Cover Plate.  Then I mounted Mr. Frosty to the circle using multi-matte medium glue (SUPER STRONG). I added a ton of sparkle to the the hat and scarf with the Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen . As a finishing touch, yes you guessed it – I  flicked on some white paint  and sparkle spray (I hope my flickings never get old. I do it all the time). Oh oh –  I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the eyes. If I had little tiny googly eyes, I would have added those. How cute would that have been! But the ones I had were way to big. #problems

As I mentioned, I am playing along in Ellen Hutson’s Mix It Up Challenge this week! A randomly selected participant will win $50 bucks to the store! With CHA stuff coming in any day, this would be the perfect time to win yourself a little shopping spree! 🙂 What’s on your wish list? I have a few things I just have to have. HAVE to I say!

  1. Your snowman is adorable, Laurel! I have to confess I had never heard of 28 Lilac Lane, so I won’t be able to play along. BTW, I did notice that the challenge text still mentions Avery Elle as the mix it up partner, so you may want to correct that.
