Birthday Card bursting with color

Hi everyone! My son’s birthday is coming up and I thought I’d whip up a card for him.. He turns 11! GASP!!!!!!! (I feel old) and his favorite color is blue. It seems like not long ago we brought him home from the hospital. He was beautiful! And so small. 5 pounds, 9 ounces. Born at 7:30AM. I remember a train. We had a scheduled c-section and we were running late and then, we got stuck by a train! What??? But they were so nice to us when we strolled in 15 minutes late! It helped my dad was a big wig at the hospital! LOLOLOL! A few things I wish I would have realized at the time:

BEAD HEAD! I mean, someone couldn’t tell me I had a huge hole in the top of my head from lying down? All my pictures feature it well.
And secondly! HOT PINK POLKA DOT PAJAMAS? I mean really? WHAT was I thinking! I gained a TON of weight pregnant with Lucas so why not highlight all of that with neon pink polka dotted pajamas and bead head, lolololololoolololol!
Oh, and ever since then, I encourage everyone to be sure they take some form of chapstick with them to the hospital! Man I wish I had some chapstick! Smack Smack… Ok, enough! You are here for the card!

I stamped out the sentiments and the snowflake type images with Onyx Black ink, sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat set!

I lightly tapped on some Ultramarine Blue Color Burst (EMPHASIS ON LIGHTLY) and then spritzed it with water and let it do its thing!!!! I finished off the design by stamping one of the border images from the Holly Jolly Borders stamp set. (See, it’s not just a Christmas themed set)… 🙂 To align all the images perfectly, I used the Mini Misti!
