Good morning. I woke up at 5AM. Why in the world would I wake up at 5AM when I didn’t even go to sleep until after midnight is beyond me. However, it did give me a chance to catch up on all my blogs, decide which challenges I wanted to participate in for the week and have SEVERAL cups of coffee! I came across this challenge and was immediately drawn to it. I love this blog! They are Papertrey lovers over in the UK, hence the title of their blog, Passion for Papertrey! Their challenge was to create a CAS (clean and simple) card. Honestly, I really started out that way. My son woke up and helped me design the card! I was going for simple and then he asked for red sparkly polka dots and just evolved from there!
I was still inspired by this challenge! I didn’t participate to win anything (which is good because I am located in the USA) and I am not even sure if this qualifies as CAS. I just love Papertrey and so do they, so we are a great match.
And I have been wanting to use the bike stamp from this set for a LONG time! 🙂 I heat embossed the polka dots using red embossing powder. And I added a couple of score lines using my Scor-pal.
I hope you like it.
Supplies:
Papertrey Ink: Everyday Button Bits and Polka Dot Basics stamp sets; Dark chocolate ink; Vintage buttons Other: heat embosser, red embossing powder, ribbon, Scor Pal
Hey Laurel! This DEFINITELY qualifies as a CAS card – it’s just gorgeous! Your son has a good eye for design – those sparkly polka dots totally rock as well as the general layout!
Thanks so much for playing along – I know you’re based in the USA but I think it’s so great that you played along as it gives us PTI addicts another source of inspiration! I hope you can play along with more challenges in the furture!
Hugs,
Aimes

Great card Laurel! Love those dots.
Jo 🙂
Great card Laurel. I love the polka dots. Maybe you shouldn’t let Lucas go to school and just turn him into a card-making machine! Ha!
Fab polka dots Laurel – they really are pretty and so is your card!
