Sometimes, simple details really pack a punch! I have learned so much from the Beautiful Details class at Altenew Academy. This lesson took me completely out of my comfort zone. As simple as adding detail with a pen sounds, it really scared the bejeezus out of me…. Going outside the lines? Say what??? 🙂
To create the card is really quite simple. I inked up one of the floral images with a gray Tombow marker (any watercolor type marker would work here), spritzed the stamp with water and then stamped. One that dried, I took the .05 Copi Multiliner and started scribbling lines here and there. Some inside the images, some outside. To finish off the card, I added some splatters with the Altenew Shimmer sprays and mounted the panel to a black card base.
Not hard at all, but you have to be willing to go outside the lines free handed and that’s what I stink at and that is what scared me. But the instructor made it look so easy, so I gave it a whirl! I’m making way thru the Level 2 certification. 3 projects down! 7 to go! I hope you are enjoying these posts…. Off to take my next class! 🙂
