Die Cutting Ellen Hutson Heat Embossing Techniques Water Coloring

Be Strong: Liquid Watercolor Backgrounds

Today, I have a few cards using some fun Liquid Watercolor techniques.  I am using a brand new stamp and die set from the latest Essentials by Ellen April 2018 Release. For my first card, is it no surprise I created a colorful background???

I love the Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors. The colors are bright and vibrant and just up my ally. I added a few drops of different colors to the top of my card, spritzed it with water, and then held my card vertically so the watercolor would drip down the page. I added the sentiment and die from the Be Strong stamp and die set and voila! Oh oh, a little bit of black texture flicks to finish off the first card!

Next, a multi embossed sentiment paired with a soft wash of liquid watercolors. I dropped two liquid watercolors onto my craft mat (Sugarplum and Aquamarine), watered it down heavily so I could achieve a less pigmented look, and then just smooshed my cardstock into the color…

Once dry, I stamped the background in versamark, and then sprinkled on two colors of Brutus Monroe embossing powder and really love how it turned out. I added a wee little strip of that Unicorn washi tape to finish off the second card.

The entire April 2018 Essentials by Ellen release is available now for purchase and you  can find it by clicking HERE!
