Today’s video shows ways to easily jazz up simple cards resulting in wow results. Pens, Embellishments, Nuvo Drops. Just a few additions of one or the other and wow! I also watercolor two cards from start to finish.

I finally did it! I completed the final step in the Altenew Educator Certification Program! To learn more about the program and all of its benefits, click HERE! The final step was hosting a workshop and I was able to do it virtually since I just moved here and don’t know a lot of people. We all hung out together (on camera), chatted and recreated the cards I prepared for the class (photo above). I, of course being me, was in PJ bottoms and fuzzy socks! 🙂 We created each card together.. I shared tips, answered questions, cracked jokes…. You know, a typical crafting gig! I provided the stamp sets and we all created these 3 cards using the same stamp set.

Do you ever feel in the weeds? If you do, you need this stamp set and die from the latest Ellen Hutson Release. The beautiful floral cluster is a gem! The coordinating die cut is also amazing because it delicately cuts out the die and leaves gaps between some of the leaves so some color can peek thru from your base layer!
It’s equally as gorgeous without using the die…. Super fun to watercolor.

Do you have any patterned paper in your stash? If so, you can pull together cards very easily! The Feeling Chilly paper pad from Catherine Pooler is compiled of super fun designs. And of course, they coordinate with the new inks! The cute critters from the Happy Buddies stamp set and coordinating die set were fun to watercolor!

I even used the same ink colors throughout all the cards and minimized the other product (just 3 embossing powders, embossing ink and a glitter pen)….. So hopefully, this video will give you some inspiration for your holiday cards! Or just ideas on how to stretch out a stamp set you might already have in your stash!!!!
