Get to know Art Impressions Blog Hop: Trifold Christmas Card

By Laurel on September 22, 2018September 22, 2018

How fun is this three paneled card!!!! The Christmas Art Impressions Tryfold card made whipping this up a breeze!  The stamps, dies (with directions) come as a set for a very inexpensive price!  My little scene here shows “Santa’s Workshop”/”North Pole” sign, snowy cottage with Christmas tree, and Santa waving in the snow!  All you need is one piece of cardstock, The Christmas AI set and your coloring medium of choice.  My 5 year old is really going to like this card! Here’s a look of it in action:

And here is the final layer revealed where I can write my message! I did heat emboss the images with Raven embossing powder (the only black embossing powder I’ll use) before watercoloring on watercolored cardstock. And its flat so it will run thru the mail easily with no extra postage!

My other card features a season I can’t wait to arrive because I am hot! LOL.  The Autumn Windows AI stamp set is so fun to color! For both of my cards, I used the Altenew 36 pan set watercolors, but you could use any kind of coloring medium you want. You can also stamp this out and give it to your kids classrooms to color for cards to send to their families.

I stamped the image with Versafine Toffee pigment ink and heat embossed with my favorite clear embossing powder.

Hop along to see what the other designers have created!!! The entire hop order is linked below for you!

I love the Circlet trifold card, so much fun! Your coloring is awesome on both cards. Thanks for the tip on the BM Raven embossing powder, I’ve been looking for a good black one.

Love the scenes for the holidays that will soon be here, and the Tryfolds which I need to use more. I also love your idea about stamping images for school children to color and create their own cards to give.

Both are beautiful scenes, it’s gone rainy & colder already in UK so bring back the sun for me. Do like the tri fold card, no wonder your five year old will love it so does this 45 year old.
