It’s Ellen Hutson’s 11th Anniversary (WOOT WOOT WOOT) and we are celebrating with a 5 day mini hop over at the CLASSroom. Welcome to day 3! You should have hopped over to me by way of Kelly Griglione. I adore Ellen Hutson and her team of superstars….. I absolutely consider it an honor to be working with them.
The theme of the hop is “My Favorite Essentials by Ellen Set” – and I immediately thought of Mondo Magnolia. It was the first MONDO set in the series I believe. I kept my card very simple to showcase the large floral…. I watercolored the floral with Distress Ink refills so I could get some intense color and used the coordinating die. I’ll keep this short and sweet so you can hop!!
Hey there! Today I am back with the Foiled Fox showcasing these two watercolored village scenes and wait till I tell you how easy it was to create these. Visit their store or blog for loads of inspiration. For today’s cards, I used the the Santa’s Visit stamp and some watercolors. Let’s look at the first version (and my personal favorite).
My second card, I scribbled on different color watercolor markers directly onto the stamp, spritzed lightly with water and stamped. I added a little bit of water to move some of the watercolor on the trees and then added some color to the hills (light grey color).
A close up…
And don’t forget the giveaway:
Today, I have created two cards based on the latest Color Trends Inspiration Photo for the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. I pulled out the Rustic Botanicals stamp set and stamped the various leaves in different colors on one piece of cardstock and then trimmed it down using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside die so I could create two cards from one background.
Did a little heat embossing for the first card…. And for the second card, I stamped the large sentiment from the Plant Ladies Say stamp set. Very simple but yet striking. The watercolored panel (Purple/Pink) was created with a quick wash of watercolors…..
Here is a look at the Pin-Sights Color Trend Inspiration photo. To play along in the challenge, head on over to the CLASSroom! A randomly selected participant will win a $50 shopping spree to the store.
Welcome to day 2 of a 3 day blog hop. What an exciting release! NEW Catherine Pooler inks AND new stamps and dies are here!!!!!…. And that’s not all. The Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval Collection goodies are finally being release to the store alacarte! Click HERE to see it all!
I shared a card yesterday – click here to see that post (here is a quick look of my project) and how I made it.
Let’s check out a couple of cards I made using loads of new goodies and inks for today’s blog hop!
My first card features lots of colorful feathers. I’ve used feather stamps from the Winter Wonderland stamp set and the stand alone Birds of a Feather die. See the colors? So fall like…. I love it. Perfect timing for the release with the beautiful leaves changing colors up here in New England. I used every new ink color from the Spa collection!
And there is the doily die… I ran it thru some vellum. Swoon.
My next card is a big stretch for me. I tried to get artsy, lol!!!! I used a few tree images from the Winter Woodland stamp set and the rest I free handed with Catherine Pooler inks (see how beautifully they blend)…. The top half of the card I blended on the inks with a blending tool. And the bottom half I watercolored. Spy the plaid leaf??? Love the Plaid Background Stamp.
Here is the complete list of blog hoppers in case you get lost along the way!
