The latest Catherine Pooler release has two layering stamp sets in it and I was super excited to create a few cards using them. The new layeringstamp sets are the Hello Autumn stamp set (the leaves) and the Rose Garden stamp set. Both stamp sets also have coordinating dies, but for today’s cards I am using just the stamp sets…
In case you missed it, I shared my Ink Layering Guide with you all in this post. The guide shows you all the color combinations I have found that work great together using the ink. I also have a video showing you them up close and how I store my swatches. With this guide as a reference, I was able to quickly build up unique color combinations for today’s cards. IF you are interested in the coloring combinations I used, be sure to check out this post.
Card #1:
I stamped the various layering images from the Hello Autumn stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock. I adhered a small piece of vellum over the top and heat embossed a sentiment right on top. The layering and ink colors really show well.
Card #2:
I masked off an oval by cutting an oval from masking paper and adhered the oval on the card panel. I blended Mint to Be ink over the entire panel and when I removed the mask, I was left with a beautiful white oval. Then I stamped one of the roses from the Rose Garden stamp set right in the center of that oval and stamped the sentiment right underneath!
Card #3:
I used the left over negative space masked oval from the card above on this one. I placed the masking paper (with the oval cut out) right over my card panel and that left the center shape over the oval exposed. I blended the same Mint to Be in the oval very light and then peeled up the mask. That left everything outside the oval white. I stamped the adorable acorns from the Hello Autumn stamp set and turned them into BUTTERFLIES, used the dot stamp (that goes on the bottom of the acorns) to add some polka dots here and there and then stamped a portion of the Angled Square stamp set in Midnight ink to finish off the card.
