10 cards with just 1 background die: Die Cutting Video

Die Cutting with just one background die!!!! Today, I’ve got 10, that’s right TEN, cards created with just ONE background die!!!! I am using the just released Wall Flowers cover plate die to create 10 very different cards! I throw in lots of techniques and tips along the way so be sure to check out the video below: To see a complete list of all the new products I used, click HERE. This Cover Plate die stole my heart the second I saw it! I love the open spaces! And when I first glanced at it, I saw smiley faces. Look closely at the card examples. Do you see smiley faces or am I just crazy! Onward to the video!!!

Each card created in the video features a different technique. Here are a few photos of the cards featured in the video with the caption of the technique listed below:

Die Cut Inlay, double heat embossing, double die cutting

Stenciled Die Cutting (Seriously, who doesn’t lick the bowl, or the spoon – or anything with something sweet on it)…..

Stacked Die Cutting (I especially love the white on white on this card)

Heat Embossed Stacked Die Cutting (the background was a background I had made preciously. Sometimes, I sit and make a lot of backgrounds and keep them and just pull out a background whenever I need one. This one screamed USE ME!

Double Inlaid Die Cutting (ok, so this is kinda the one where I highlighted the “face” of the die…… Do you see it?)

Ink Swiped Die Cutting (the heat embossing resists the ink, making for a really cool look)

Stecnciled Die Cutting, Dry Embossed Die Cutting (The dry embossed purple panel was a complete accident – refer to the video to see how)

What did you think of the cards? Was there one technique that you learned that you didn’t know before? Anything extra I could have done to make this video more compelling? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! And be sure to please subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven’t already!

Laurel, you are silly but also forgiven! I live the idea of using our cover dies in different ways. My question is:
What can you do with one ink color family and one stamp to create a birthday card or whatever want to use as the theme?
