Today I have two watercolored border cards to share with you all using the Starlequin stamp set from Cas-ual Fridays. I have a 15% discount code for any purchase at the Cas-ual Fridays store. Just use code LAUREL2017 at check out.
Ok, let’s talk about the cards shall we??? For both cards I stamped the Starlequin stamp onto watercolored cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat set it with silver pearl embossing powder. I like this embossing powder because it leaves a pearlescent finish to it. It’s not silver, like I thought it would be from the title of the embossing powder, lol. The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set. I like making Just Because cards….. You can use them for anything and everything!
The next card was created in the same way and I used a sentiment from the Pretty Posies stamp set. I watercolored both cards with Peerless Watercolors. It has been ages since I’ve taken those babies out! They work just like traditional watercolors. The come in booklet form. The water color sheets are a heavy film of concentrated color. The color is coated on one side of a special paper fabric that readily discharges when it comes into contact with water or any soluble mixture. Just just tap your paint brush onto the sheet and that’s all you have to do. This is great watercolor option if you are on the go! Portable…. Pop it in your tote/purse with a waterbrush and you are good to go! 🙂
The Starlequin border is really just gorgeous. I am not the best at fussy cutting so you just have to ignore that and focus on the gorgeous border design, lol! I have been trying to use more of my colored card stock as card bases because I hoard all these pretty colors and never use them. Is anyone else like that? Tell me I’m not alone here! 🙂
Thanks for popping in today! See you next time!!!!!
