*Video: 5 ways to heat emboss

Today, I have a video showing you 5 unique ways to heat emboss. Remember the card I made for the Wow blog hop a few days ago?  The first technique in the video shows you how I made that card! 🙂 Let’s check out the video! Don’t forget to subscribe and click on that notification bell!

Let’s take a close up look at each of the projects.  First up, is painting with embossing ink refill/reinker. The organic paint strokes and the texture from the heat embossing is so pretty! I also use a second technique on this card! Heat Embossing with WATER! See the gold? That’s water splatters with embossing powder over the top. Make sure to watch the video on how to heat emboss with water! There is a trick to it.

So: Painting with Embossing Ink refill/reinker and heat embossing with water are the two techniques in this card! I love it.

Next up is probably my favorite card of the bunch. Acrylic Block heat embossing! Yep. Those circles? From an acrylic block!

I love this card. I also added some heat embossed elements to the flower by adding the embossing reinker to the flower with a small paintbrush and then heat set.

The 4th technique is rainbow heat embossing with ink pads! I figured more people might have colored ink pads versus colored embossing powders so I wanted to show how you can achieve a rainbow heat embossed look with inks…. You could also create an ombre look by changing the colors of inks you use.

A forgotten technique is adding score lines to your cardstock! I love the look it leaves behind….

The 5th and final technique I’m sharing today is partial heat embossing. In the video, I also illustrate how to cover up a sentiment mistake!

So what do you think? What is your favorite technique? Do you have a heat embossing technique to share that I didn’t feature? Leave me a comment!!!!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a HAPPY FRIDAY!

*Video: No Heat Foiling – How to Get Beautiful Foil Effects without heat!

Ever wondered how to get beautiful foiling effects without the use of heat? That’s right! No laminator. No special foiling machine!!!!  I have a video sharing MANY ways to foil without heat!  You can watch the video by clicking HERE! Be sure to subscribe and click on that notification bell if you haven’t already!

Here are some still shots of the projects. Let’s take a look at the first project where I used an Adhesive Pen to foil in this card.

The organic feel of the strokes, the coordinating foiled sentiment from the Altenew Super Scripts Stamp set and coordinating die? I just adore this. This is probably my favorite of the bunch. One more close up:

For the next project, I used a 2 way glue pen to add the foiled horizontal stripes. There are many glue pens on the market that will work for this. Any glue that dries tacky (sticky) will work!

I like the hand drawn look of the foiled stripes, don’t you? The Altenew Watercolor Frames stamp set is a great, versatile stamp set!  I love the watercolored images (inspired from real paint pieces) that make a great focal point on the card.

My next cards features some Sticky Tape/Double Sided tape to create a foiled flower. I  called this technique “Sticky Tape Die CUtting” lol.

The Sticky Tape, the Rainbow Foil and the Altenew Frosted Garden die is all I needed to create this colorful beauty.

For my last project, I did some double foiling using a flat tip glue pen from Nuvo. Using the flat tip allowed me to get a nice straight line with one stroke. I also used several different color of foils.

I love the look of double foiling. A great way use up those small scraps or negative pieces left over from other projects. And of course, the Frosted Garden stamp set to the rescue to complete this card. Oh! I added a few foiled dots to the center of the florals too! 🙂

I had so much fun making all of these cards! I was inspired from the Altenew Academy Let It Shine: Holiday Edition course!  All 6 lessons were so inspiring. I’m making my way thru the final level of becoming an Altenew Certified Educator and am pleased to say I am just a few projects away! 🙂

Welcome Home Card Trio

The Welcome Home Release from Catherine Pooler is available NOW! I have two new cards to share with you today using goodies from this release. The entire release is linked at the end of this post with the products I used at the beginning of the list….. First up, this gorgeous Cottage Garden background stamp set. I watercolored the background and then applied a heavy coating of Glass Bead Glitter Gel over the top! Man does this card sparkle! This background would work with any themed card of your choosing!

Next up is a card that was super fun to make. Lots of watercoloring and texture on this card. Can we talk about the dog too? So stinkin’ cute! The Fresh Cut flowers stamp set and coordinating die is super fun to work with.

I added some clear Nuvo Drops  to the background for some added fun and texture.

And this card is one I previously blogged and it has a video tutorial to go along with it. To see the post and video, click HERE!

A very fun release indeed! Thanks for popping by. Until next time….
